The AOASM Board of Directors is happy to share that the 2025 AOASM Clinical Conference will be held April 30- May 3, 2025, at the Embassy Suites Downtown Hotel in Asheville, NC.

We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt support to the people impacted by Hurricane Helene, particularly for those in Asheville, the host of our 2025 Clinical Conference. Members of The Rees Group reached out to the host hotel in the days following the hurricane.  The hotel did respond that the structure had minimal damage and their people were safe.  The resilience of this community is truly inspiring, and we are confident that the strength and unity of Asheville’s citizens will shine through in the rebuilding process. In these challenging times, we stand in solidarity with the region, offering any support we can to help in the recovery efforts and to uplift those affected by this devastating storm.

Despite the impact of Hurricane Helene its determination to move forward is evident. We are pleased to inform our membership that our annual conference will still take place in Asheville in 2025 as planned. We believe in the power of community, and this event will serve as an opportunity not only to showcase the incredible beauty and vibrancy of Asheville but also to support its local businesses, hotels, and organizations during this time of rebuilding. We encourage all attendees to join us in contributing to the recovery efforts you feel are appropriate.  We look forward to doing our part in supporting the community by maintaining our commitment to host our meeting in Asheville and exploring everything it has to offer. Our decision to move forward with the conference is a testament to Asheville’s enduring appeal and its readiness to welcome visitors once again. We are excited to bring people together in this wonderful city, where we can celebrate both the resilience of its people and the importance of coming together in times of challenge. Asheville will continue to thrive, and we look forward to joining forces with the local community in May 2025 to contribute to its bright future.

The Allen Jacobs Memorial Lecture
