American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine at OMED 2025!
Thank you to Dr. Warren Bodine, DO, FAOASM, AOASM OMED 2025 Program Chair, and Dr. Kate Quinn, DO, FAOASM, for such a great line-up of presentations!
The American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine (AOASM) presented “Sports Medicine: A Pathway to Treating All Patients.” The program included sports medicine topics relevant to physicians in all specialties, highlighting the dual clinical missions of promoting exercise as medicine for all people and providing sports medicine care to all people. An in-depth review of common musculoskeletal conditions including diagnostic evaluation, management, and return-to-play considerations across pediatric, adolescent adult, geriatric, and disabled athlete populations was provided.
The program also explored new ideas in clinical practice, applied evidence-based research, and connected with diverse patients. All highlighted the osteopathic approach to evaluation and management.

Featured Program: AOASM and ACOFP Collaboration
OMT Next Level: Lower Extremities
In partnership with the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), the AOASM is hosting an exclusive, hands-on training event at OMED 2025 in Nashville on Friday, September 26 from 1:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. CT. Participate in expert-led, small group instruction and gain 4.0 continuing medical education (CME) credit hours.
The lower extremities section will consist of care-based presentations that focus on a brief review of diagnostic procedures for specific conditions where OMT is indicated (such as ankle sprain and fractures, ankle pain, and foot pain), with most of the time devoted to hands-on instruction of specific OMT techniques.
Space is limited to ensure adequate hands-on time and quality instruction for each participant. Don’t miss this opportunity to refresh and enhance your OMT skills in a collaborative and practical environment. The cost is $350 for members and $450 for nonmembers.
Choose to add on the OMT Next Level: Lower Extremities course for OMED25 during registration.
