AOA Board Certification in Sports Medicine
- Hold AOA primary certification
- Physicians with a current, valid certification from an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board may also qualify for AOA initial board certification

- Eligible to enter the AOA’s Osteopathic Continuous Certification (OCC) process in the specialty and/or subspecialty for which they have ABMS certification.
- Successful completion of a 1-year AOA or ACGME approved Fellowship in Sports Medicine
- Take the CAQ within 6 years of completion of your Fellowship
- Maintain Certification through OCC
